Boston: Charlie Baker Takes Over Massachusetts’ Corner Office

Today is Republican Charlie Baker’s first full-day as the 72nd Governor of Massachusetts after being sworn in Thursday afternoon at the State House.

Hundreds waited in lines outside the capitol building in sub-zero temperatures in order to get inside to congratulate Baker either with a firm handshake, a hug or sometimes even a kiss.

Among those in attendance was former Governor and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, former U.S. Senator of Massachusetts Scott Brown and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

The cheers were endless and people were ecstatic that Baker, who lost the Governor’s bid five years ago, was finally in charge.

And it was pretty clear yesterday that Baker was ready to get right to work.
