Boston Fire Chief Indicted on Larceny Charges

A fire chief within the Boston Fire Department has been indicted on procurement fraud and larceny charges, Attorney General Martha Coakley announced Thursday.

Edward Scigliano IV, 45, of Kingston, Massachusetts, was indicted by a Suffolk County Grand Jury on charges of five counts of procurement fraud and five counts of larceny over $250.

Prosecutors allege that Scigliano stole over $32,000 Boston taxpayer dollars and directed the money for his personal use in two separate instances between 2008 and 2011.
