A Boston man will appear in court on charges of breaking into two houses in Hingham on November 18.

Police sgt. Steven Dearth tells WATD the first happened on Foley Beach Rd., where he says the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Robert Barr, entered through an unlocked front door.

Jewelry was taken, but other valuables, such as a laptop, were left behind.

Dearth says witness noticed a beige-colored SUV in the driveway and saw a man carrying a clipboard walking in the yard.

The second break-in happened on Harbor View Dr.

Dearth says Barr entered by forcing open the front door using a tool around the deadbolt lock.

Jewelry was also stolen from that house.

A witness noticed a man get out of a vehicle matching the description in the driveway.
