Norwell: Town Administrator candidates to be interviewed tonight

By Steve Burns

Norwell Selectmen are narrowing down their choices for Town Administrator as Jim Boudreau moves up to the same position in Lynnfield after 16 years.

The final four getting interviewed tonight include former Kingston and Rockland Town Administrator Kevin Donovan. Donovan was forced out as C-E-O of the Tri-Town Development Corporation earlier this year after legislation changed who governed over the Southfield complex.

Other finalists include Scott Crabtree, the Town Administrator in Saugus before Selectmen voted to remove him from office last September, saying he wasn’t working cooperatively with the board or spending money in the town’s best interests.

Jeff Chelgren will be interviewed as well, he abruptly resigned as Marblehead Town Administrator a month ago with no reason given.  Peter Hechenbleikner will be the last candidate interviewed. He retired a year and a half ago after 26 years as Reading’s Town Manager.

The interviews start at 6:30 tonight at Norwell Town Hall.
