Plymouth: Entergy Employees Fail Drug Tests
By Erin Dale
Entergy, owner/operator of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant, is taking action after two employees recently flunked drug tests.
Last Friday, a supervisor in the plant’s security department failed a Breathalyzer test for blood-alcohol levels after coming back to work following an extended leave.
And, earlier that week,
Lauren Burm, spokesperson for Entergy, said both employees are in the midst of 14-day suspensions. They’re also being evaluated.
Pilgrim has over 600 employees and over 200 contractors. Burm said when someone does fail a drug test, it’s pretty rare.
Burm said Entergy has a rigorous testing program to ensure Pilgrim employees are fit to work.
