Plymouth: Roadway shooting leads to two arrests

By Garo Hagopian

Gunshots shatter what would normally be a quiet night in Plymouth.

State Police Lt. Daniel Richard tells WATD a trooper was monitoring traffic on Rte. 25 westbound at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, when he heard four gun shots fired from a moving car.

The trooper pulled the vehicle over, and as it came to a stop, a man identified as 33-year-old William White of Boston, got out of the passenger side holding a gun and took off on foot into a wooded area.

A woman, 26-year-old Jocelyn Morales of Middleboro, was the driver, and Richard says as the trooper was speaking with her, White re-emerged from the woods, but without the gun.

White, who was also wanted on a default warrant out of Boston, was arrested.

The weapon, along with ammunition and a cap he was wearing, were recovered with the help of a K-9 unit.

Morales was issued a criminal summons for being an accessory.

No injuries were reported.
