South Shore: Municipal Meetings on Tuesday, May 26

Meetings tonight around the South Shore:
The Weymouth Budget Management Committee is continuing a public hearing on a proposed $6.5 million Prop. 2 ½ override for schools and public safety; the meeting starts at 5:45 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers.
In Quincy tonight is a presentation on “Flood Plain Modeling” by Dr. Robert Beardsley, scientist emeritus at Woods Hole Oceanography Institute, starting at 7 p.m. in the Thomas Crane Library.
In Brockton, the developers of a proposed power plant are scheduled to meet with city officials today to go over their preliminary site plan. The City Council meets at 8 tonight in City Hall.
The Cohasset Board of Selectmen have set aside over an hour to deliberate and possibly vote on the Town Manager’s Police Chief appointment. The meeting starts at 7 in Cohasset Town Hall.
The Scituate Board of Selectmen will start their meeting tonight with a public hearing, and possible vote, on water regulations. Later they’ll discuss the applied coastal, sand revetments contract. The board meets at 7 in Scituate Town Hall.
