KINGSTON SPORTS CENTER: All sports, all the time – Kingston, MA

KINGSTON – When Matt Dellabarbra was hired as general manager of the Kingston Sports Center two years ago, he had a goal to expand the business to the point where they could offer “something for everyone.” He’s well on his way to doing that as the KSC continues to grow and expand what they can offer local athletes of all ages.

The Kingston Sports Center building has three full-sized basketball courts along with a turf area for other sports. Dellabarbra’s responsibilities include running the facility along with booking and renting the building, a job which can get hectic due to the complex’s increasing popularity.

Silver Lake Icemen pick up steam

Rarely is a hockey game decided in the first four minutes of play.

Saturday proved to be one of those days.

A Ryne McNeilly goal less than four minutes in and a stellar performance by goaltender Matt Hill proved to be enough for the Silver Lake boys hockey team as it defeated Brockton, 1-0, at Asiaf Arena.

With a hard drive to the net, McNeilly, a senior, was able to put the puck past Brockton junior goalkeeper Franco Massaro as he fell to the ice for an unassisted goal only 3:45 into the game.
