KINGSTON – Good things just keep coming for Silver Lake baseball teams. In this case take a look at the Silver Lake 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Star team, which looks to have secured a spot in the final four of the Eastern Massachusetts State Final tournament being played at Adams Field in Quincy.
Rarely is a hockey game decided in the first four minutes of play.
Saturday proved to be one of those days.
A Ryne McNeilly goal less than four minutes in and a stellar performance by goaltender Matt Hill proved to be enough for the Silver Lake boys hockey team as it defeated Brockton, 1-0, at Asiaf Arena.
With a hard drive to the net, McNeilly, a senior, was able to put the puck past Brockton junior goalkeeper Franco Massaro as he fell to the ice for an unassisted goal only 3:45 into the game.
